Luckily, there are many farms in the Snohomish area and beyond that will not only provide eye-popping fields of orange squash ready for a good home but also day-trip activities that include petting zoos, corn mazes, autumnal foods and rustic markets. Perfect for families, couples or just a group of friends, these locales start to bustle with activity as the clouds roll in and hoodies become formal wear.
More than 60 varieties of pumpkins are available at this Snohomish farm! Bob’s Farm is known for its signature hayrides into their renowned pumpkin patches. You can count a total of 18 fire pits, large and small, that can be rented for private groups and birthday parties. Large fire pits can now fit up to 80 people! That sounds like a Fall festival in the making. Tasty treats and concessions are also available, including pumpkin donuts and Ellie Mae’s specialty fudge.

40 acres of beautiful pumpkins! There are also two mazes at Craven Farms this year, and owner Judy Craven says what sets them apart from other farms is that these mazes aren’t so scary. The Children’s Adventure Maze is for little ones who want to explore Story Book Lane or Obstacle Highway, while the traditional 15-Acre Corn Maze offers an opportunity to get lost for awhile. Another reason to check out Craven Farms? Three words. Apple. Cider. Donuts. And their espresso game is up this year too.

This Lake Stevens farm has a number of seasonal events and giant pumpkin patches! Carleton Farms offers a pumpkin cannon, a zipline ride, a five-acre maze in the shape of the Mariners logo, pumpkin-shaped jumping pads, a specialty kids barn and, for the older kids and adults who stay up late for a scare, a zombie survival hayride with paintball! An upcoming brewfest from Lake Stevens Lion’s Club, and farm fresh produce, roasted corn and pumpkin donuts make Carleton Farms a must-go destination for families and friends. Their latest corn maze is also great for sports fans that hit the skies!

This classic farm is located next to the beautiful Snohomish River Valley and is just outside the historic downtown Snohomish area, with a great a view of the Cascade Mountains when the clouds are just right. However, Stocker Farms also has a darker side… Stalker Farms, which offers scary mazes not recommended for the faint of heart or children under 12. Needless to say, this is the place to go for pumpkins and a dose of Halloween horrors.
