IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON SNOHOMISH COUNTY SPORTS EVENTS

EVENTS IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY

Rules regarding events are temporarily in place throughout Washington state, including Snohomish County, to help minimize the risk of exposure to and reduce the spread of COVID-19. If you are planning to attend an event, please check first with the hosting organization or venue as they may have postponed, canceled or made other changes. Please also refer to the Snohomish County Sports Commission’s Sports Events Calendar for updates on scheduled events. Washington Governor Jay Inslee’s “Stay Home – Stay Healthy” Proclamation 20-25, dated March 23, 2020, provides additional details about restrictions on public and private gatherings in Washington, including events. Additional information regarding COVID-19 in Snohomish County can be found on the Health District’s Coronavirus Information Information page.

The Snohomish County Sports Commission will closely monitor the regional, national, and global situation as it continues to evolve, and as it pertains to our scheduled sports events in the county. We are committed to ensuring the safety of all our competitors and spectators during our hosted events. Our staff is staying up to date on the facts as provided by the State of Washington, Snohomish Health District, World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other local agencies and authorities. We will continue to monitor CDC travel advisories with our event partners and plans will be adjusted, if needed. Ultimately, the decision to cancel or reschedule any hosted event will fall upon the event’s rights holder or the hosting facility.
