Snohomish County Record Store Day Locations
Let's flip through some of the amazing record shops in Snohomish County that participate in the annual Record Store Day celebration. Happy digging!
The early blooms of springtime hardly elicit thoughts of the holiday season. If fact, the holidays might be furthest thing from everyone’s mind this time of year. But every April, true lovers of music on vinyl get the gift of exploring the exclusive and often elusive items (does anyone really even have a copy of that one Long Pond Sessions album?) that drop on Record Store Day.
RSD is a worldwide event that typically takes place on a Saturday in April. It features a torrent of limited, rare, and unreleased albums, tracks, and b-sides from artists both mainstream and obscure.
What adds to the lore of RSD is that you can only get these exclusives in-person and in-store at participating indie record store (sorry online shoppers). This often leads to many committed vinyl heads braving the still-quite-cold weather to sleep outside their favorite indy record shop like they are waiting for a midnight showing of a Harry Potter film circa 2001.
We are proud to present all the independent record stores in Snohomish County that eagerly take the RSD pledge to sell some of the year's most exciting releases in vinyl. Rock on!

Musicology Co.
420 5th Ave. in Edmonds, WA
Musicology Co. is Snohomish County’s only woman-owned record store and it amplifies musical creativity, artistry, inclusivity—and of course, vinyl—in the Edmonds Creative District. Long before the turntable even scratched its first vinyl at Musicology Co.—which opened in 2024— its owner, Rachel, envisioned her shop being more than just another place that buys and sells records. It’s a space for those who create, perform, and appreciate music. The shop is bright and inviting, with aesthetics that conjure thoughts of a 70’s gold-laden glam recording studio (think ABBA or BeeGees) with a hint of 90’s Seattle grunge (think Soundgarden or Pearl Jam) and a touch of modern boutique vibes. And if you’re lucky enough to visit Musicology Co. on a Saturday, you might find yourself flipping through vinyl amid a live music performance that takes place during the shop’s weekly Saturday Sessions.
