About 40 minutes north of Seattle is the place to be. Or rather, it’s the place for bees: the Snohomish Bee Company, commonly known as “SnohoBeeCo.” It’s a favorite location for regional beekeepers and lovers of honey alike.

Formerly known as the “Beez Neez Apiary Supplies,” this quaint wooden building near downtown Snohomish stays buzzing throughout most of the year, engaging on-site bees with a tight-knit crew of gardeners and beekeepers. Not just for locals, SnohoBeeCo is great for all beekeepers or would-be beekeepers.

The company offers weeklong courses in beekeeping targeted at aspiring apiarists.
