Snohomish County’s leading economic development zone has become the hub for manufacturing innovation and excellence.
A joint project between the cities of Marysville and Arlington, the Cascade Industrial Center (CIC) includes just over 4,000 acres of manufacturing and industrial zoned land with more than 1,700 developable acres, strategically located between Seattle and the Canadian border along the I-5 freeway corridor. 20,000 family-wage jobs are expected to be added over the next decade.
The CIC supports a wide range of mechanized and technology-driven industries due to its distinctive and abundantly qualified advanced manufacturing workforce, smart manufacturing practices, and access to emerging platform technologies offered via a concentration of mechanical engineering, instrumentation and fabrication experts.
Companies locating in the Cascade Industrial Center (CIC) enjoy competitive advantages provided by generous manufacturing tax incentives, an efficient permitting process, an industry-friendly climate, and convenient access to multi-modal transportation options including the BNSF Railway, Sea-Tac International Airport (SEA), Seattle Paine Field International Airport (PAE), and an international deep-water sea port at the nearby Port of Everett.
Re-establishing the relationship with the shoreline to foster community and enhance economic vitality.
The first phase will include mixed-use multi-family residential complexes with retail and other amenities east of Ebey Waterfront Park with direct access to the Ebey Waterfront Trail. Longer term has the potential for more multi-family and mixed-use buildings near the water, which could transform the area surrounding the Marysville Opera House into a prime visitor destination.
Visit the City of Marysville website for information on this project.
