Steeped in rich history, the Sky Valley Visitor Information Center proudly resides in Sultan’s original brick-faced bank building. Adorning its exterior is a striking 30-foot mural that vividly captures life during the railroad heyday of the 1920s and ’30s—an homage to Sky Valley’s deep roots in the railroad and logging industries. Inside, visitors and residents are treated to a charming blend of the past and present, the practical and the whimsical. History enthusiasts can explore a trove of photographs and artifacts chronicling over 120 years of life and industry in the valley. Outdoor adventurers can purchase hunting and fishing licenses, while travelers can pick up maps and information on lodging, entertainment, and attractions across Sky Valley and the state of Washington. Even electric vehicle drivers are covered, with convenient on-site charging available. But perhaps the greatest highlight is the warm, small-town hospitality—every visitor is greeted with a friendly welcome that feels just like home.
