Lake Tye Park is a 64-acre community park which hosts many spectacular community events throughout the year. Located along Fryelands Blvd at the City’s west end, the lake boasts a 42-acre recreational lake enjoyed by a diverse range of water enthusiasts. Walkers, runners and bicyclists regularly enjoy spectacular views along the 1.63-mile loop trail around Lake Tye which is also linked to other community trail segments. The lake includes a non-guarded beach and boat launch,* two large covered picnic shelters that can be reserved for parties, restrooms, concession building, tennis/pickleball and basketball courts, softball/baseball field, full-sized soccer/lacrosse field, children’s play area and parking for approximately 200 vehicles.
The playground, renovate in 2017, was designed with a lake theme and includes many unique features such as musical chimes and one of the few Tri Runner Swings in the Northwest. Check out a virtual video of the park design and unique features here.
This destination hot-spot is home to events ranging from Music in the Park, Movies Under the Moon, National Night Out, Monroe’s Community Easter Egg Hunt and Shakespeare in the Park to name a few. Lake Tye Park also hosts adventure-driven events such as wakeboard competitions, triathlons and many run/walks. It’s also home to the Monroe Board and Blade Park.
*Note: No gas-powered motors of any size and no electric motors in excess of 1 ¾ HP, including model boats, are allowed on Lake Tye, unless otherwise approved by a special event permit. MMC.9.28.110.
