Things to Do in Lynnwood
If Lynnwood was a mantra, it would be three imperatives: eat, shop, stay -- all for less money than Seattle. That pretty much covers it. With plenty of restaurants, retail stores, and…
Two words: variety and quantity. Lynnwood is said to have more dining options than Seattle’s Interntional District and it’s easy to see. The urban environment here is filled with options: sushi, curry, banh mi, a “tofu house,” and noodle restaurants. Yummers!
Lynnwood is just south of I-405, connecting the city to Seattle’s Eastside and even Eastern Washington. The I-5 corridor (which runs through Lynnwood) will easily connect visitors on a north-south axis to places like Vancouver B.C., Bellingham, Everett, Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, and (for the adventurous day tripper) Portland, OR.
Nope. It’s alive and well! Online shopping is always kind of a gamble, you know? Like, wouldn’t you rather try on clothes, touch materials and fabrics, see how the puffer coat actually fits your shoulders before you shell out $200? Yeah. Sometimes it’s just better to go and shop IRL. Lynnwood’s got you covered: between the Alderwood mall, strip malls, and several big box stores, you’ll find what you need here.
Welcome to the Pacific Northwest! Luckily, Lynnwood has plenty of non-rainy options. From world-class spas to indoor games, you’ll find the perfect way to pass a cozy northwest day. Check out our “Hidden Gems” article to get your indoor recreation on.
We get you. Check out Meadowdale Beach Park – it offers a small hiking trail leading to the shores of Puget Sound. Also, Lynnwood is home to the brand-new REI store. It’s probably the best place to gear up for an outdoor adventure on the Salish Sea or in the Cascade Mountains. Or, if you’re more of an urban cyclist, walker, or hiker, try the Interurban Trail, which connects Lynnwood to Everett (north) and Seattle (south).
